I applied online. I interviewed at American Income Life (New York, NY) in Feb 2018
Interview
I had gotten a call from a woman stating that she had seen my resume online and wanted to schedule an interview the next morning. Of course, I accepted this interview and a time was set. The interview process was smooth up until she asked if I would be able to drive to which I responded "not yet, but I am working on it" (just moved here, but this agency is no more than 10 minutes away from home). I then questioned why a license is necessary for an office position. According to this interviewer, I would need to meet face-to-face with their clients on occasion. I assumed this was to discuss the company product- life insurance. I made it very clear that a valid drivers license and doing a task that clearly has nothing to do with clerical work was not listed on the job post and its requirements. The interview was cut short and I left the building confused and offended at the curve ball that was thrown.

Question 1
What can you tell me about yourself and your recent work experience?
I applied online. I interviewed at American Income Life (Remote) in Dec 2022
Interview
Quickest reply and interview I’ve ever had. Within 48 hours I already had an offer from them which was very surprising. Everything was done through practically text which was odd at first and then got everything emailed and verified very quickly. I did feel like the process would of been a lot smoother if they’d mention everything I need to get done get just for the onboarding rather than mentioning things one by one after going back and forth with management. Just having to get things scanned and sent over to them was a pain considering it would of taken a max of 15 minutes getting paperwork fill out and getting document together to send over rather the 3 hours I spent being told one item at a time. That’s as far as we’ve gotten so far but hopefully all goes well.

Question 1
after 17 years with a company why was I unemployed
I applied through other source. I interviewed at American Income Life (Burnaby, BC) in June 2018
Interview
There was not any process. They only present their company and products during 1 hour.
They pay no attention to your background. It seems they want to sell their products and you have to receive some licenses that they cost around 700!!
