      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at American Income Life (Houston, TX) in July 2018

      Interview

They took us to a group meeting where they discussed all the things we would be up against. The meeting was pretty long and mostly discussed how being an agent can make you earn up to 6 figures and how you could achieve that if you worked hard.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why do you think your the right candidate for our position?
      Answer question
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at American Income Life (Maple Grove, MN) in July 2014

      Interview

Numerous. First the presentation tells you, you can make so much money. You just have to go to people's homes who have already been approached. The interview lasts a total of 2min. They say you were selected from 10,000 calls or 5,000 or maybe it was 3,000 they all said something different. After you do the initial interview they ask if you can stay another hour for a presentation then a ton of forms to fill out. I got called back for a follow up interview. I was told they would pay for the insurance licensing if I passed it within 3 weeks. Or else a retake would cost me $70 then on top of that test another test and approval ect would cost me out of pocket $190. I asked what the typical form looked like to call someone and run around the city. He showed me someone else's they had waiting then said these look good and took those from that person's office. A lot of trust going on there. Then he told me I needed to start studying the next day no pay or anything. I said 2 weeks he got upset. I couldn't start right away. Right before I left he asked me if I was married. Girl friend and if I had a criminal background all things I'm pretty sure they can't ask. To conclude I asked what the retention rate is. Out of 100 people 90 will not make it past the first round. 4 will stop before the test as I did. 2 will fail the test and not continue. 2 will drop out during on the job training. 1 will quit within a month and 1 will still be there after 4 months. It's all bait and switch. I was told I would need to work 6 days a week and probably have a meeting every Wednesday to round it out to a nice 7. Take my work home and spend the night with it. Drive to some part of the city and work from usually 7am to 5pm then drive back to the office to file the forms. All I would have to do is show a computer presentation. Good luck Oh if it says management it's actually a field agent.
