Interview
I've been around the block a few times so I know a scam when I see one. My first indication something was amiss was when I saw 10-15 other people being "interviewed" the same time as me. I talked to a young man who clearly had never interviewed anyone seriously. He then pushed me into a room where they tried some sappy seminar style sales pitch on me about the usual "hungry earning potential." I have to give the guy credit he was a good salesman. But I was particularly angry since I asked SPECIFICALLY over the phone whether this was for the position I submitted my resume for. Not for a sales or broker position. I got up in the middle of the pitch and left after giving the guy daggers for 15 mins of wasting my time. I bitched out the receptionist regarding the deception and told her I was brought here under false pretenses. She just looked at me like a deer in the headlights. I felt bad about that but really, lying to people to get them in the door is just beyond sad.

Question 1
There were no questions it was a sales pitch to get my money.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Income Life (Fort Worth, TX)
Interview
I was told they were looking for sales agents and office managers. I applied, thinking I was going for the office management position.
I was told that the only thing they had was sales positions, but after 3-4 months, there would be management positions open.
You will go in for 2-3 interviews, and then have an evening where you have to sit by the phone between the hours of 5-9pm, and if you miss the call (according to them) you will not get the job.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at American Income Life (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Interviewer trumped office manager position and preferred I do sales instead when I specifically said I was only interested in administrative positions. I was originally called for the office manager position but that caller was not my interviewer even though he said he would be there.
