Phone call (HR screening), virtual interview( one of the project leads), 60 min long seminar (including Q&A), more one-on-one interviews with people relevant for the role. They contacted me about three weeks after submitting my application to schedule a phone screening within the following two weeks. That call was a very standard kind on interview. A few days the call I received an email asking to schedule a virtual interview with one of the project leads, again wishing two weeks.

HR Screening: simple routine questions like tell me about yourself, why chose Amgen, salary interest, relocation interest, time availability Technical interviews by group leaders: Why you are gonna leave your current job? why we should hire you? Are you interested to work in a fast-paced environment? and more technical questions about that specific job

Phone screen with HR that consisted of standard questions like "Why Amgen", "Why did you apply to this role" etc. As well as logistic questions such as salary expectations and visa sponsorship requirements. I was also asked about my skill level for different techniques that had been listed in the job description (RNA seq, animal handling etc). Five days later I was invited to do a one-on-one with the hiring manager. In this round I was asked more technical/specific questions pertaining to my resume, along with some behavioral questions like "Describe a time you overcame a challenge". We also discussed relocation logistics. One week later I was invited to do another interview and was asked to give a 20 minute presentation on my PhD work and was asked questions during the presentation about the methods used and potential future directions. At the end of the final interview I was told that HR would be in touch. After two weeks I hadn't heard any news so I reached out to the person who organized the interview and was directed to the internal recruiter and received no reply from them. Another few weeks have passed and I have still not received any news or rejection letters, so assuming they have passed on my candidacy.
