I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amundsen Davis (Chicago, IL)
Interview
I met via zoom with the firm's dedicated recruiter. The questions asked were pretty standard. The firm is growing and they're staffing up. All attorney positions involve primarily insurance defense work.

Question 1
What a typical day's schedule look like at my prior firm?
I had a phone screening with their internal recruiter, attended an in-person interview with 3-4 senior and/or equity partners, then received an offer within the week. I know some applicants have two rounds of in-person interviews, I think it just depends on who is available and when.

Question 1
They ask directly about examples of experience and some personality questions.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amundsen Davis (Milwaukee, WI) in Mar 2025
Interview
Phone screen w/ an outsourced recruiter describing the general role and company, which remained confidential at the time. Once I moved forward, I had one meeting w/ the direct hiring manager and another final interview with her manager. Both were very relaxed, conversational meetings and I enjoyed meeting with both of them.
However, after 5 weeks, I heard nothing of a peep from anyone (recruiter or managers). When I followed up with the recruiter, she did respond that she'd follow up, but after two weeks since then, nothing.
Overall, while the experience at the begin was swift and great, in the end, the candidate experience was lackluster at best and is likely reflective of the employee experience of the company.
