Interview
This was one of the most unprofessional interview experiences I've ever been through. I applied online. Get an email from a recruiter and schedule and introductory interview. About 20 minutes before it is supposed to start, I get a text from the recruiter that her boss has put something else on her calendar and can I hop on a call now. Sure. We do a quick overview, run through the basics, then she tells me the next round includes someone overseas so they can really only interview in the morning. I egt the next invite, fill out my availability. Then I get an invite to interview with the person I was supposed to speak with in the third round, not the overseas person. Doesn't matter to me, things change. So I take time off work for the interview. The interview time comes and... nothing. She never shows up. I send a follow up email and get a pretty quick response that they'll look into it. Less than two hours later, I get a generic thanks but no thanks rejection email.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ancestry (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
A Phone call with the recruiter, One round with an engineer and then an onsite (Series of zoom calls) with the team. Pretty straight forward and quick process. Asked a lot of technical questions and very specific questions about past experience, project complexity.
