I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Annapolis Micro Systems (Annapolis, MD) in Nov 2015
Interview
Did two phone interviews, one with the HR person and the second with product manager, chief sales manager and product engineer. All very friendly people and easy to talk to on the phone. Flew out to do on-site interview with this same group of people at Annapolis HQs for a day. The only thing strange about the interview was that all people I interviewed with stayed in the room the entire day, and then near the end of the interview, the HR/benefits person brought out my college transcripts (which I had to provide beforehand to interview) and questioned some of the grades that I got in a couple of my technical classes! I have been out of college for 27 years with many years of work experience, so this was a bit what the heck is going on!! I have never had that experience even when I was first starting out.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic Q/A questions about managing customers, accounts and lot of questions about my technical background in relation to the job. The technical questions were basically their VHDL specialist going through VHDL code for their storage products and how it would connect to a 40GbE ethernet interface. Asked questions about Ethernet packets and transmissions and various questions about data transmission communication. Various questions about VHDL code for their products and what it did.
