I was initially contacted by Nathan Li on LinkedIn, as my five years of relevant international experience aligned with the role requirements. The initial interaction was positive and encouraging.
However, my second interview with VP of Trading Operations, Iris Lo, was disappointing. The interview felt unprofessional and unproductive. She did not turn on her camera, did not follow a structured interview process, and did not clearly communicate next steps. It felt as though I had to push for basic information, rather than being guided through a standard hiring process.
What was most frustrating is that my experience closely matched the job requirements, and during the interview, it was acknowledged that my background aligned with what they were looking for. Despite this, the role was reposted, and I was later informed that they were seeking candidates who “better suit the role.”
Overall, the experience lacked transparency and professionalism, especially at a senior leadership level.
