Common "phone screen followed by panel" type interviews. I interviewed in 11/2024 for the Mesa location and 4/2025 for the Chandler location. I didn't hear anything past the initial phone screen with the Chief Research Officer for the Mesa location, but for the Chandler one I got to the second-round Teams interview with the CRC who did the phone screen and the Director of Clinical Research for that site. Both times I was ghosted despite doing my part to professionally follow-up.
All interviews were bog-standard in terms of questions, but I did get a bit of a feeling the Director of Clinical Research was skeptical of me, as I have been a CRA ("higher" CRO-side position than CRC). So she was sort of unnecessarily and uncomfortably asking about why I would want to do this position, which I answered professionally and truthfully (i.e. I do enjoy making a community with participants, I don't like the travel of doing CRA work, CRC is a very respectable position, etc.).
I gave the interviewers space for a week before I followed-up, trying to exude patience and respect for their time by sending a combo thank you and follow-up email to see my status, but despite replying all to the four people on the email chain instigated by the recruiting CRC, not one person answered after a week. I followed up with one final email, but heard nothing back.
I won't be applying to another position, as I can't imagine with this level of respect given at two different facilities by a Chief Research Officer, a Director, and everyone else that the company is very enjoyable to work for.
