I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arlington Strategy (Arlington, VA)
Interview
This was, by far, the worst interview process with any company I've ever had. Walk this process with me:
- For my preliminary phone call, the recruiter asked if I could conduct it in four hours. I've never heard of that, but ok. On the call, the recruiter/interviewer seemed monotone, unenergetic, and asked super basic questions.
- After the 1st interview (Zoom) was set, someone from the company changed the time without informing me. When I inquired about the correct time, I could not get a straight answer until the next day.
- After my 2nd interview (in person) was set, someone changed the time, AGAIN, without informing me. I arrived at their office, which is the size of my living room. Now size isn't everything, but when desks are stacked right up on each other and they force you to work in the office (hybrid 3x a week), that's not the ideal work environment. The air conditioning is not great, forcing them to always leave the front door open to the lobby. Their "meeting/interview room" was small and doubled as a storage area, which made it super tight to walk around, pull out chairs, and sit.
After weeks of not hearing back, I reached out and was told that I would hear back from them on Xday. I did not hear back until 5 days later. Their whole operation is unprofessional and would NOT recommend to anyone serious about their career.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"We are pretty laid back here. Are you ok with wearing t-shirt and jeans to the office?" (Yes, I'm serious)
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Arlington Strategy (Arlington, VA) in June 2022
Interview
Interviewer lacked personality. Questioned and seemed to look down upon the fact I had been formerly employed by a Fortune 500 company. Was completely ghosted after first round and left with no feedback. Pay was estimated to be around 45-50k.
