After written round,first technical interview was there which went for 1 hr 30 min ,longest interview in continuity which I have faced yet.As I am from computer science,questions started with C:
difference between C and C++,difference between structures and union(I answered by explaining definition and respective memory allocation),Dangling pointer and their cases(has been explained in Geeks for geeks),write your own sizeof operator function.
Computer architecture:Asked in depth-memory mapping,pipelining stages ,instruction,hazards(WAR,RAW,WAW) ,how to resolve hazards,branch prediction,long discussion on virtual memory ,paging (I explained with diagram),page replacement algorithms used during virtual memory,explaining those algorithms.
One of the interviewer asked Do I know Digital Electronics,I said I learnt 3 years before during gate prep but can try :
asked basic K-Map ,no of functions possible with n variables ,difference between register and latch,combinational and sequential circuit,Design of RS flip-flop and expressions,I was trying using excitation table but did not completed that as I had already told them not in touch with this subject.Some questions I have forgot.
Last one ,interviewer asked do you like solving puzzles,I said I like technical problems,he said make it a try:One puzzle was given ,cracking the code by two detective ,one knows the code and they are in different doors,I almost reached there but didn't got the answer.
Interviewer were very helpful and friendly nature they made us comfortable to give interview very confidently ,I am selected and I am in his team only ;)
