      Sales Development Representative (SDR) Interview

      6 Nov 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Chicago, IL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Asana (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2021

      Interview

So from Application to hire was less than 20 days. I applied on a Friday, waited over the weekend, and had a reply from the talent manager Monday afternoon asking for a phone screen. Spoke for approximately 15 minutes about my background and why I applied at Asana. At the end of our conversation, the talent manager told me she would be moving me on to talk to the supervisor of the position. I was sent an availably form for each of these interviews btw. I. spoke with the mupervisor on the phone as well for about 35-40 minutes. We chated about my experience and how this was a career change for me but how my skills were easily transferable. At the end of the conversation. I was again prepped on what next steps would be. He told me he would make contact with the talant manager and reccomend me for what would normally be an in person on site interview. However due to covid it would be condicted over zoom. The talent manager sent me an email laying out what the onsite interview would entail including 3 hours of stacked interviews. Then i was called by the talent manager to prep me for the interview what to expect and who and what my interviewers roles were. Day of the on site interview was 17 days after i orginally applied. I went through the separate interviews as well as a cukture chat with a non interviewer to disccuss life at asana and to clear any questions i had. At the end of the 3 hours my final 15 minutes i met with the talent manager again to discuss my day and ask any last minute questions. When we finished our conversation, she told me the panel would meet the following day to discuss and decide and i shoild hear back either way in the next 48 hours. I recieved an email at open of busness the 2nd day telling me I was being offered the postion. Over all i had a pleasant and enjoyable experience interviewing with asana. I believe they wanted me to investage them as a company to see if i would fit the same way they were deciding about me. I felt like everyone involved was excited for me to possibly join the team.

      Interview

Intensive, spoke with multiple people each interview. Everyone was nice and welcoming. Stressed that they wanted someone with previous sales experience and did not want to train a new person.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Asana (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2023

      Interview

I really liked the hiring manager for this job but it took them far too long to get back to me after replying. The interview was more conversational and got lots of helpful feedback but the long panel was a bit excessive. It’s a recruiter screen, hiring manager, then 2 hour panel. Only reason I withdrew was another offer
