      Sales & Partnerships Interview

      18 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Diego, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Asterra (San Diego, CA) in Oct 2025

      Interview

VERY unorganized company, and leadership team. Spoke with the hiring manager (GM in San Diego) which went well. Then interviewed with the newly hired VP of People (Located in Israel) and all went well there. They immediately got me in front of their CEO (San Diego) who I spoke with for over an hour. That went well as also. I had been advised by the recruiter that there were no other people to meet and even got a preliminary offer. I was led to believe there was no other people involved in the interview process. The last step was going to San Diego to do a meet and greet with the team. This was down played as a culture check and casual meeting to meet in person. When I got there - I met with the team, which included two new people (VP of Marketing and the Chief of Staff) as well as the GM and VP of People. There was also another 3rd party consultant who got invited that I was not aware was going to be there. Long story short--- this ended up being an hour long panel interview, which I was not expecting based on what the VP of People and the recruiter told me. I also was not expecting the two new people would be part of the interview process. This whole process was so unorganized, and because of this I walked into a situation I was not expecting, thus setting me up for failure. It ended up being a total waste of my time, and the CEO's time. A very poorly executed interview experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Also, the benefits offered only cover you, so if you have a family, your on your own. The pay does not account for this either, Lastly, I found the Chief of Staff unprofessional. He sat there with his arms crossed, did not smile and was not friendly at all. After that experience we parted ways which was the right thing to do after the horrible experience.
