      Marketing Role Interview

      5 Dec 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Auction Packages

      Interview

I had one video interview with the hiring manager. Straightforward questions about background, skills, past projects, strengths, etc. After the interview, I completed a skills assessment and submitted it to the hiring manager. They contacted me the following week saying it was a tough decision but they went forward with another candidate. No complaints about the interview process. Some red flags to be aware of when interviewing for this company: The salary range was listed in the job posting, and when I mentioned I was looking for the higher end of the range, the hiring manager told me the CEO actually has no intention to offer that higher range, which was a bad faith bait-and-switch. The company also does not offer PTO or unpaid time off until you've been there for a year, so there will be no work-life balance here, as they do not allow you to take time off. They did mention flexibility around taking off a weekday and making the time up on the weekend. When I brought up a 4-day vacation I had planned with family, they asked if I was planning on working during it. Stear clear if you value spending time with your family and loved ones.
