I applied online. I interviewed at Austin Eye Clinic
Interview
Three people in the interview, hard to read them. Ended the interview with the presidents wife, she was unsure what my two ophthalmology certifications noted on my resume were - should have taken that as a red flag.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Austin Eye Clinic (Austin, TX) in June 2021
Interview
Nice, friendly, courteous. Punctual. With three of their employees. Very professional. Seems like a great team place to work at. Nice location. Great website. Patient care is important to them.

Interview
I had about a 20 minute phone interview which went well and was asked to come in for an in person interview. This was during the middle of the pandemic so I took in-person interviews to mean that they were serious about me as a candidate and were only doing this with a few select candidates. The interview seemed to go great. I met with 2 managers and the owners wife who runs the HR department. After talking with all three (standard interview questions) it seemed like things were going great and we were all getting along well. I then had a one on one with the owners wife and we chatted more personally (get to know you type of questions) and I felt a very strong sense that they were interested in hiring me and they said they’d get back to me within the well or next week.
Well that’s it. They never reached out via phone or email to even tell me I didn’t get the job or why. I would think after giving them hours of my time and being at least in the final stages of interviewing they could have that decency but I guess that’s way too much to ask. THEY’VE EVEN PUT THE POISITON BACK UP ON THE JOB BOARDS!
