      Analyst Interview

      12 Feb 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Autodesk (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

The recruiter left a bad taste because she was just not good at her job. She didn't do things she said she was going to do repeatedly and I think it's fine with 1 or 2 misses but it's something else if someone consistently cannot follow through. She didn't respond after reaching out, didn't give any information on the interview structure at all despite me asking at least 5 times and didn't call when she said she would. I asked 6 times about the structure and it was like I was badgering her for it and I almost felt bad asking again. The whole recruiting process was quite unprofessional. I was given names of the people I'm speaking with with no roles, and I was actually asked to look them up on LinkedIn myself. Well, some of them I could not find on LinkedIn, there were no last names and I did not want to go back arguing about why they should just let me know the titles instead. The hiring manager was great, shared a lot. But the interview after that was very ineffective. I repeated myself 4 times to 4 different groups of people and the questions were 90% a run down of what I do now. I prepared a lot of answers and thought about the company, strategies and plans but we talked about none of that. I was surprised and felt like I wasted all that time because interviews with other companies typically start with a discussion about their products and revenue strategy. It didn't feel like there's a lot of structure and I had very little opportunity to have a conversation and understand what does the role actually do. Everyone was really nice though.

      1. Talent Acquisition telephone screen 2. Hiring manager interview 3. Team interview 4. Senior management interview 2 months of interviews, after the final interview, which went well, I literally never heard from them again. Ghosted by an employer. Imagine if a prospective employee did that? First time to see that and very surprised to be honest! Not impressed.
