      Customer Support Associate Interview

      16 Dec 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk in Dec 2021

      Interview

For this being an "entry-level role", you'd think you were applying to work directly alongside the President with the rigorous interview process. I have NEVER been put through something like this with a company, and felt the need to warn others... First, you will have a 30 minute interview with a recruiter. The normal stuff. If they like you, they pass you on to an actual HR person with Autodesk for another 30 minute interview. After that interview, you will meet with who would probably be your direct supervisor for a 30 minute interview. Not bad, right? Well, this is where it starts to get crazy... If the manager likes you, you are then scheduled for TWO more interviews that are tests for them to judge your ability to...send an email and chat. I'm not joking. They have to make sure you can email and chat. Those 2 interviews are split among 3 different managers in the company (2 for the chat portion and 1 for the email test). After being told that I had a "near perfect test" for both interviews, I thought for sure that would do it. Especially since my direct manager was who did both of the tests (the department supervisor was apparently out, so that's why I had the same manager in both interviews). But no...I get an email saying "Congrats, you now get to do THREE MORE INTERVIEWS with panels." Excuse me? A total of 8 interviews are needed for an ENTRY-LEVEL ROLE that sends emails all day? I was very frustrated. I informed the recruiter that I had two other jobs waiting on an answer from me, and I had to see in my schedule if I had time over the next week for 3 separate hour-long interviews. I immediately received a snarky email back informing me they had removed me from consideration and "Good luck with the other jobs!" Maybe I've just been very fortunate working for other large tech companies before, but I've never heard of ANY entry-level position requiring 8 interviews before. This seems very out-of-line with industry norms and the current job market. Be warned: you will need to set aside many hours to go through this interview process if selected. I asked the Autodesk recruiter in my interview if they felt any impacts from the Great Resignation and how the company was changing to better serve employees as they now have more power. The recruiter giggled and said "Gee, we haven't seen any kind of Great Resignation here, so I have no idea what that even is! Autodesk employees are lucky to work here, so we don't think there's anything to change." That should tell you all you need to know about this inefficient and outdated organization.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk (Barcelona) in Dec 2022

      Interview

The whole process took over 2 months and I went through 8 interviews. 1. Interview with HR background check 2. Interview to test language skills 3. Interview with the manager about skills and motivations 4. Role play with the manager and one team manager. Simple tasks about chatting and responding to emails from customers. 5, 6, 7, 8. It was a pannel interview, 30 min with each team member/manager. I was measured against the company's values. Overall an over demanding process for an entry-level position but everyone was very respecful and the interviews were very relaxed.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Autodesk

      Interview

It is a very long interview process. It took a total of 3 months to get through almost all the interviews. 1- recruiter call 2- a hiring manager 3- interview with a manager where you get to ask the questions 4- presentation panel 5- director interview This company is growing and seems to have a very diverse work environment and they mentioned many times that they have plenty of opportunities to grow. In 2 of the 4 interviews, I did my interviewers seemed very distracted. They really only asked me 3-5 questions and during my responses would text on their phone or were doing other things on their desktop and so I had to repeat myself a lot. I also always had to email my recruiter every 2 weeks to ask if I was still in the interview process between every interview.
