I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2025
Interview
Really disappointed with the entire interview process and how slow and inefficient it was. Went through 6 rounds of interviews, was told I was one of final 3 candidates and after the last round received zero feedback with an automated rejection email. Please learn to respect your candidates time and effort too - I'm not concerned about the rejection but just that you should atleast have a proper final call going over interview feedback and were things went wrong (to my surprise I actually thought i did quite well, so the rejection was very surprising)
2 system design, 1 coding, 1 hiring manager.
System design focussed on standard questions (design a room reservation system and a messenger).
The coding interview was very simple.
Hiring manager screen involved digging deeper into the past experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk (San Francisco, CA) in June 2025
Interview
Recruiter round - HM round - technical screen round.
The process is frustrating and very slow. I had to follow up with the recruiter and a scheduler at every stage.
It took them 2 -3 weeks to get back from each round. After stringing me along for 6 weeks and repeatedly requesting for next steps they rejected me without any feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Usual tech recruiter round and HM questions. Everyone was extremely disorganized and had no clue about the position. They kept saying this is a new position and they're figuring out stuff.
