I interviewed for a Project Manager position in the US division (Axess Americas). The initial video interview was just introductory "tell me about yourself." It was with the director in Park City and went well.
I followed up via email with some questions about how much time would be spent on the road and how travel arrangements are handled. Got adequate responses to all questions, then followed up with my satisfaction and stated wish to move ahead. After two weeks I got notice that I was no longer under consideration because they were moving forward with candidates who are located closer to clients.
The job description clearly states "Location: US-REMOTE," so I obviously feel that was misleading. If the job says Remote but you're only going to consider local candidates, don't waste people's time.
