I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Axis Communications
Interview
Long and very deliberate. They are more interested in the character of a person and not so much their papers of qualifications, which is good to get the kind of people that you want working there.

I interviewed at Axis Communications (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Interviewed for this role in Chicago/ Presidents plaza and even gave a presentation on the third interview awhile back . The technology is super interesting but the team here seemed bored. The inside sales team lead who would be my trainer looked and acted miserable, lacking any charisma or excitement. Why are you mean mugging the candidate you choose to interview ? Outdated mind games are not professional if that’s intentional. I knew I would not want to work under him as he was rude, awkward, and obtrusive asking far too personal questions that are not appropriate for an interview. “What are you most proud of?” was where it started getting weird and more personal. The manager above him seemed a bit better/more well equipped to manage but still should lose the old school resume grilling tactics. I admired his certifications though. The long interviews and the take home assignment/presentation were not respectful of a candidate’s time. They focus a lot on culture fit while perpetuating a lousy business culture.

Question 1
What are you most proud of in your
life outside of work?
I applied online. I interviewed at Axis Communications in Mar 2017
Interview
The interviewer was late and came in with his hair disheveled and dandruff on his sweater. After sitting down, he immediately set a timer on his smartphone and acted as if you have this much time to impress me. He appeared disinterested and was condescending right at the start of the interview.

Question 1
What is your strength? I answered. And then asked again, "What is really your strength?"
