I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Ball Aerospace in Mar 2021
Interview
The interview was roundtable and hosted by many people at ball including engineers and hiring managers. The interview was all online. The interview was enjoyable. The interview was not long.
Four hour process that consisted of four panel interviews. Each with about three to four people on each panel. Standard questions were asked about the resume, background summary and interests

Question 1
Why are you interested in model based systems engineering?
Preliminary interview with GNC hiring rep. The interviewer seemed to imply to me that studying more advanced topics *while doing academic research* was disadvantageous for employment at Ball, since Ball uses more standard "tried-and-true" control strategies. This of course makes sense to some extent, but doesn't a knowledge of more advanced/specialized topics typically imply a strong knowledge of more standard strategies as well?
Interview was short (15 mins) and I don't expect to hear back.
