I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy (Brandon, FL) in June 2011
Interview
This was a group interview. We were asked for name, why best buy, resume in 30 seconds, if you were a car what kind and why? tossed a beach ball around with questions on it the one closest to your thumb
you answered saw video on the company asked to comment on it emphsized TRUST but did not go into that acronym but they try to build trust with customers tie in connectivity to drive sales in other areas
went out on the floor and were told to act like you have a blank check what would you buy and what things tie in peripherally, the apple specialist was knee deep and unable to answer questions about what other products apple ties in with she had to beg a blue shirt to help her with customer service.
hand shake and we'll call Tuesday for next interview and then interview with store mgr. no call
i'm older think that they are more interested in hiring the 2 16 year olds who had never held a job.
Advice if you go to one of these drink a few Starbucks lattes, a Redbull and a Five hour energy
Interviewer acted liked he was jacked up on caffeine.
Was not hard. Asked simple behavioural questions and wanted to grasp if I could handle high-pressured environments to be able to handle work on days such as Black Friday. Mostly just talked about my past experience in retail!
It wasn’t bad at all. It was just a few quick questions about my past experience and whether or not I would be able to work part or full time, stuff like that.
