I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy in July 2011
Interview
Had received a call for a cashier position I had applied online for a couple months back. Phone interview lasted about 10 minutes and then I was scheduled for a 1 on 1 interview. I had arrived 30 minutes early for my interview but was interviewed 30 minutes later than my appointed time. Interview took place inside their security room. The interviewer was not very professional, used too much slang when asking questions. Interviewer had asked a little too many personal questions and then the rest of the questions were read off a list.
Was not hard. Asked simple behavioural questions and wanted to grasp if I could handle high-pressured environments to be able to handle work on days such as Black Friday. Mostly just talked about my past experience in retail!
It wasn’t bad at all. It was just a few quick questions about my past experience and whether or not I would be able to work part or full time, stuff like that.
