Interview
There was a 3 step Process. The first interview was a phone interview that consisted of the basic questions. The second interview was with the assistant manager which discussed the essential job functions and the prior experience that I had within the field of retail. The final interview was with the GM and then a job offer was presented.

Basic question to get to know the applicant.
The whole objective is to see what type of person the applicant is. The questions asked are hard, but some make you think.

Two rounds, one with assistant store leader and final with store leader. Basic questions to highlight leadership and interpersonal skills that are relevant to the job, sales skill was important but far less important

How would you handle a situation where you are asked to take over with an upset customer
I had a phone interview plus an in-person sit down with GM. It was professional and I was treated with respect. They took into account my military experience. The GM liked my positive attitude and wanted me to inject that into the customer service area.
