I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Best Buy (Bel Air, MD) in June 2009
Interview
Best Buy is very upfront with the (JOS) Job Offering System processes. The positions are always posted in a timely fashion and very tranparent with all the details you would need. Location, Salary, Point of Contact info, and Position. The job posting will run for a certain amount of time and once that job offer closes, interviews will be scheduled and than carried out. At that point the panel that conducts the interview makes there decision and the candidates not selected are contacted - if within the organizaton usually given a game plan, than the selected individual is job offered. A salary is discussed and a start date is agreed upon.

Question 1
Why should you be chosen over the other candidates?
The role is posted 5 to 14 days on average. You should have a resume and be prepared for a phone interview with a recruiter, then a panel style in person interview.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Best Buy (Aberdeen, NC) in Feb 2025
Interview
Very straightforward interview, I was not selected and was told I'd be given a follow-up assessment of the interview but that never happened. Overall, nothing difficult about the interview process.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Best Buy in May 2022
Interview
Easy, two interviews, good communication around timing and flexible on time. Very basic/ standard process as you’d expect with a large corporation. Interviews were both very quick and got each one done in under one hour.
