I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (San Angelo, TX) in May 2012
Interview
I first applied online at BestBuy.com, clicked on the jobs link, filled out the application and took a personality survey. About a week later I was called and scheduled for an initial interview with the assistant manager. About four days later I was called-in to have a final interview with the General Manager. He asked me some questions about my skills and personality, and gave me plenty of time to ask questions about the job myself. He gave me an offer, I accepted it, and a week later I started working at Best Buy. It was very simple and was the first time I've ever applied for a position online. It was interesting, but efficient.

I applied online. I interviewed at Best Buy (San Marcos, CA)
Interview
The interview went as expected for a job in retail. I was asked about past experience and what my current availability looked like. At the time, I accepted an offer and was working shortly afterwards.
Normal behavioral interview. Phone call, interview, offer. Pretty easy to get through. Went in for a tour, asked a couple questions. Everyone was pretty nice. Nothing unexpected. Could be different now though.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy
Interview
Very casual and normal line of questions. Depending on the role you apply for they do ask behavioural questions and some strength and weaknesses. Fairly quick process. You will be asked to meet twice and one phone call for screening
