Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The tour is the only unexpected part, you are not told it is part of the interview. Try to engage the employees, ask about what they do. Smile and say hi to everyone - from Janitor to GM.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Woodridge, IL) in June 2016
Interview
I applied online from across the country and went through four different phone interviews, first a personality phone conversation with the Recruiter, then a phone interview with the Operations Managers, followed by a phone interview with the Regional Director, then a phone conversation with the HR Manager.
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Best Buy in July 2011
Interview
After an initial telephone interview, the screener scheduled an on-site interview with HR and Logistics at this warehouse location. We discussed my background, credentials, work with individuals that have learning disabilities, computer programs, etc. . She was sufficiently impressed to arrange an interview with with the Director.
One weel later I met with this Director and Plant Manager for over an hour again reviewing my background and capabilities, supervisory experience, computer knowledge, ability to work in a non-climate coltrolled environment. I was told they would let me know next week.
As you suspect, next week came and went. I followed up with telephone calls and e-mails to HR and the Director without reply.
A major disappointment from this person's professional perspective.
