Since the store wasn't open yet, we met at a cafe nearby in Belmar. I brought my portfolio and was hired pretty much on the spot.
If you don't bring a portfolio, expect to be given a simple test of your graphic design skills in Photoshop/Illustrator.

after application, they send you a link for recorded phone interview as "skills test". It's not time limited so you will have plenty of time to write your script out and fine tune before submitting

Interview
I came into the store not looking for a job, but to print an original design I made. The employee that helped me said I should be working there. Turns out the owner was present. We scheduled an interview for the following day. I was given a store tour to start. Then I was to design a simple T-shirt design on the fly using their preferred program. I was given a fake customer scenario of a woman with a flower business needing company shirts.
