Very standard straightforward behavioral interview, focused on key take aways from my resume as well as relevant job experience. Single interview with my future managers manager. Also discussed initial project for internship.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at BioMarin Pharmaceutical (Novato, CA) in June 2019
Interview
My interview was thorough and gave me a lot of insight as to what the job entails. The interviewer asked me very situational questions that allowed me to showcase my work ethic and personality.

Question 1
Specify a time when you had to make a difficult decision in a work-related setting and elaborate on how you handled the situation.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BioMarin Pharmaceutical (Novato, CA) in Jan 2018
Interview
Standard interview format with phone screen from the recruiter, followed by phone screen by the hiring manager, followed by onsite interview with a team of interviewers. The onsite interviews were back to back 30 minute interviews, with a team of nine people. Some were one on one, and some were panels. They asked behavioral based interview questions, and asked for further details about items contained in my resume. Be prepared to speak in detail about everything on your resume. I found that the higher up the position of the interviewer, the less prepared they were for the interview, so be prepared to just talk about yourself if the interviewer doesn't seem prepared to ask you meaningful questions. This was a pretty run of the mill interview, though. One part that threw me off a bit was that the interview team was comprised of mostly men, making me question how friendly the environment is to female employees, if it is just men making all the hiring decisions. On a team of nine interviewers, only one was a female employee and she hardly asked any questions. At other companies I have worked for, a concerted effort is always made to ensure diversity on the hiring team, as much as possible. So this oversight was a red flag.
