They informed me that the interview process would consist of three parts: a meeting, technical interview, and assignment. During the meeting portion, I spoke with the marketing department, which concerned me. I was asked to rate my skills on a scale of 1 to 10, and when I asked what 10 represented, I got a reply that it was a senior developer who could provide correct solutions when asked or researched. However, there was no standardization for what qualifies as a senior in the industry, so the answer was subjective. After I provided my response, I was informed, that I did not seem qualified enough, even though I assured my knowledge. they stated that the company values results over talk, which left me unsure why they initially questioned my qualifications. I was excited to apply to this company initially, but it seems poorly managed if qualified individuals are not being properly assessed.
