I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at BlackRock (New York, NY)
Interview
This was a long drawn out process and frankly a waste of time. I was called to a casual meeting which led to multiple onsite interviews and then nothing. They kept saying that they wanted change yet no one I met was ready to change.
Advice: One day you will realize that you are treating applicants poorly and that your practices are turning people off. In a service industry, I imagine that you would want to have your applicants to be treated the same as clients. In my case, I was both and now I am neither!
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at BlackRock
Interview
Mostly behavioral questions, not super technical. Multiple rounds including group interviews. It felt pretty efficient because I met so many members of the team. They kept me in the loop with next steps throughout the process.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at BlackRock
Interview
7 rounds including a repeat with certain stakeholders. Communication with the recruiter was an awful experience. It was near impossible to get an update and instead of scheduling calls they would be random mid-day and if you missed it often had to wait days. The experience was a drag and I won't be applying again.
3 rounds of interview with multiple interviewers per round. Final round interview was with the head of business, a Managing Director. Relatively quick process end to end, took 3-4 weeks.
