so, i saw on snagajob how the bloomingdales was hiring for the merchandising associate and i read the description. it sounded like a stocker job. i put in the application online and woke up the next morning with an email saying they have invited me for a job interview. interviews started the following week. i went to the bloomingdales, asked the cashier for the manager and the manager came and got me from the sales floor and guided me to the interview room. we got straight to the interview and it was so laid back. she only asked me two questions. and then we got in a small little conversation. only lasted 10 mins and im waiting on a response. she said the max i should wait back for a response is 2 weeks because they have to pick their best applicant. also, they are looking for 1 person to fill this merchandising position. but, she said they still may be able to put me in sales if they still wanted to hire me. the manager was nice and made me feel relaxed.

First I met with the Manager for the Merchandising team. I felt that it went really well; I didn't feel any pressure and was able to answer her many questions from a long list she had. We hit it off and chatted too, and then she said that she wanted me to meet one of the other assistant managers. The AM came in and didn't really ask many questions because she said that the first Manager "really liked me" and there wasn't anything more for her to ask me. Despite how well the interview went, they never got back to me, which I found odd. Said they would reach out by the end of the following week and when they didn't, I called to confirm and they said they would send out emails the next week. Never received anything or any notification. Though it was kind of rude not to at least let me know the verdict especially since they kept hinting how well I would be for the position!! (maybe I was overqualified?)
