      Content Editor Interview

      13 Sept 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Moscow, Moskva
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Booking.com (Moscow, Moskva) in Aug 2014

      Interview

Applied on workingatbooking.com several times during the summer 2014.Finally got an invitation for the interview in the office by the phone. The atmosphere is relaxing in the early morninig in the office. A guy from the main hall called me and showed the special writing test on PC. It is consist of 5 pieces: 1. Commercial Hotel Description and Photo Select (you must re-wright the current descpription and choose main photo in the collection and describe your choice. 2. Custom Driven Content (Sorry guys, didn`t remember this part). 3. Room Description (4 types of rooms, to describe each one in their markуrting role (bussiness, family, boutique, standard). 4.Change Request (Hoy can deal with hotels request about changing information, how you will answer to them) 5. Proof reading (Find all mistakes in the description). The key idea - is to check your English Writing Skills that you will use for content editor work. And you must show easy average style suitable for all types of English-reading readers. The time limit is 1 hour and 15 min. Then you invited for the interview in English, no more than 15 min and you can show your speaking English style. Cup of coffee is a bonus. Don`t afraid of anything. You must do it and check your abilities. And you will get an answer in neary future....

      Content Editor Interview

      25 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Booking.com

      Interview

I was contacted by the recruiter and asked to submit links to my portfolio. I was told it could take up to 3 days to hear back from her and that I shouldn't hesitate to contact her with any questions. I never heard back from her even though I sent several emails for feedback. This seems to be a trend this days unfortunately. It makes the company looks very bad though

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Booking.com in Mar 2017

      Interview

The first step was a task - answering three questions about how i see the platform and what improvements could be made to it to make the user experience better. The next step was a screening call from a recruiter, which lasted around 30 minutes and included general questions about myself and how I deal with different situations, but mostly around collaboration with colleagues and teamwork. The last step was a face to face interview at the local office I was going to be based at with my direct manager joining via video call as she was based in a different country.

      Question 1

Best question I got asked was at the end of the interview - how did you think you did? Do you think you ruined some answers?

      Content Editor Interview

      10 July 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Milan
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Booking.com (Milan) in May 2016

      Interview

Slow and awful recruitment process they called me for the first interview after one month. The offices in Milan are surrounded by homeless, there is a glass wall in the waiting room and the homeless where literally washing themselves right in front of me, they had mattresses, cooking pans like they were actually living there. Put curtains if you can't get rid of them! this was such an unprofessional first impression. I met 3-4 people who didn't even bother introducing themselves and lead me to participate to an editing test which took me 1hour. I haven't hear back from them ever since and it has now been over a month. I have sent them an email and nobody ever bothered to reply. I will never send my CV to this company again and will not recommend it to any professional.
