First there was a conversation with HR, who did not express the slightest hint of interest during the conversation. Nevertheless, my impression was rather positive, because... HR gave some good advice regarding the next interview. Nevertheless, HR did her job and she did it professionally.
Then there was an interview with the architect and technical manager. During the interview, the technical manager did not allow me to finish my sentences, interrupted and openly boasted about his experience in integrating one of the banks into a cloud solution. Perhaps the reason was that I mentioned my experience working with 30+ leading financial organizations around the world and that the point of view of this manager is not necessarily the ultimate truth. Probably this was a trigger, the interview turned into a competition where the interviewer was trying to prove to me how great he is.
That moment I realized that I do not want to work in this particular team/department.
Maybe just an unlucky case, because overall I had a good opinion about the company and its culture.
