Interview
Applied for the job online and then got an email back the next day asking me to complete the online questionnaire which i did a few days after. I then got an email the next morning (monday) asking me to book an interview slot which i booked for a Thursday. I looked at glassdoor to see what type of questions i'd be asked but i was only asked one of the ones that i had prepared. I didn't think i did very well on the questions but i had redeemed myself on the shop floor by being confident with customers and really selling my product that i was asked to prepare on. The product i had chosen was a mascara from soap and glory. A tip i'd give is to chose a product that you use a lot or that you already know a lot about so it comes natural in the interview process. I was really nervous throughout the whole interview and i was certain that i wouldn't get the job, it was my first interview so i had a reason to be nervous. I asked for feedback afterward and she said to not be so nervous.
She then said she would let me know about it when she knew.
I then got an email the next monday saying i got the job which i was delighted about!
Easy enough interview, just asked the typical interview questions. Thought i fit the role well but did not receive an offer or any reason for not being selected. Interview took place in a cleaning closet, which i did find strange as it was opposite the staff break room.
The interview was an hour long. Questions were
asked around compentencies. I was then brought out onto the floor to interact with customers and demonstrate product knowledge. Overall, it was pleasent, good interview.
