I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (California, MD) in May 2022
Interview
I’ve been a contractor for 10+ years and Booz has called me several times for roles, I interview and then get told I’m not competitive enough. I’ve work for LM, GD and others so I know my skills and experience are up there but some Booz people have this ego about them. So I just don’t respond to request anymore. If you get “rejected” just apply to other firms there are better bigger and smaller ones that don’t give off the pretentious vibe and will value you while working there.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton (Herndon, VA) in June 2024
Interview
The process consisted of 30 minute increment interview sessions with up to 4 different interviewers. Each individual asks a variety of questions. In my personal experience, everyone was super nice and personable so it was much more conversational versus being a question and answer format.

Question 1
What is one of your favorite types of projects to work on and why?
Open interview, "speed dating" style. With so many people involved, there is a tendency to have applicants slip through the cracks. I had a great interview and was supposed to have a follow up from the department manager but never heard back.
