Applied online and heard back from a Bose recruiter almost immediately. The position was in Eden Prairie, MN in the Bose Electroforce group, away from HQ in Massachusetts.
Initial phone interview with recruiter was very basic and lasted about 15-20 minutes. She asked standard personality questions, why I was interested, what is my experience in tissue engineering, etc. Interview went well and within a week or two I was contacted by the hiring manager to have a second interview.
The second interview was video chat with the hiring manager and another Applications Engineer. This interview was much more technical. I explained my doctoral research in Bioengineering and the hiring manager asked me many follow-up questions regarding it letting me know she was very knowledgable in the area. Interview went well and lasted about 30 minutes.
They flew me up for an in-person interview a few weeks later which consisted of a 15 minute presentation on my research/background, followed by a tag-team format of meeting with 8-10 different members of the office for 15-30 minutes each. Overall the interview lasted about 7 hours and was very exhausting.
I didn't hear back for quite some time, but eventually was told a couple months later by the recruiter that they had whittled it down to 3 candidates, which I was one of, but that they had selected another one for the position. The hiring manager was very picky, and had been interviewing for this position for over 6 months.
