Quick to setup the interview, standard 30 min zoom screen where the HM shared about the role and then I answered questions. I didn’t appreciate that there was no time left for me as the candidate to ask the interviewer any questions…. Not great interview etiquette IMO.
I agree with another Glassdoor reviewer.. for a company whose mission is to improve the interviewing experience which in turn improves recruiting processes altogether, receiving a generic Greenhouse rejection email felt disappointing. At a minimum, I would’ve expected one sentence with constructive criticism as to why I wasn’t a fit and was being rejected.

Interview
My recent interview experience with BrightHire left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, the conversation was engaging, meaningful, and surprisingly personal. I felt a genuine connection with the Hiring Manager and appreciated the opportunity to discuss not only my qualifications but also my aspirations, values and personal life experiences that motivated me to apply for the role.
However, the duration of the interview felt disappointingly short. Given the depth of our discussion and the potential for further exploration of my skills and experiences, I expected a more comprehensive conversation.
Despite my initial disappointment, I remained optimistic, hoping for constructive feedback or at least a courteous explanation in the event of a rejection. Unfortunately, upon receiving the rejection email, I was taken aback by its impersonal nature. The absence of any reason or feedback felt dismissive and left me dissapointed in the interaction.
While I understand that not every candidate can be offered a position, I believe that every applicant deserves the courtesy of a personalized response, particularly after investing time and effort into the interview process.

Interview
Scheduled an initial phone screen interview with the hiring manager. The interviewer was super nice and made me feel comfortable, which I appreciated a lot, however he also seemed a little disinterested and I already knew around the halfway mark that I was out of the running. I also didn't receive any next steps as we didn't have much room in the end for questions or discussing what's next (granted, I knew I was out so I guess he didn't think there was a point). Overall, what was truly disappointing was receiving a generic noreply "thank you for your interest, we decided to move forward with other candidates at this time" rejection email as a response. Especially since this company's mission is to make the interview experience better, I would have appreciated a more personal response after taking time to interview. I feel it's important to walk your talk as a company. That would have made all the difference between a good and bad experience.
