I interviewed at Broadcom (Bangalore Rural)

      Interview

When I went through the interview process at VMware, it was quite comprehensive, and here's how it unfolded: Initial Screening: It started with a recruiter reaching out to me. They asked some basic questions about my background, experience, and why I was interested in VMware. They also provided an overview of the role and what to expect next in the process. Technical Phone Interview: After the initial screening, I had a technical interview over the phone. This was more focused on my core technical skills. They asked questions about programming, data structures, algorithms, and some problem-solving exercises. I had to code live, usually using a platform like HackerRank or a shared document. Coding Challenge: In some cases, there’s also a coding challenge that they send over for me to complete within a specified timeframe. This challenge was meant to assess my coding skills and approach to problem-solving. Technical Onsite Interviews: The next stage involved multiple rounds of onsite interviews. I had several technical interviews, each with different engineers or managers. They covered a range of topics, from system design and architecture to in-depth coding exercises. They also asked about my past projects and how I approached certain challenges. Behavioral Interview: Alongside the technical interviews, I had a behavioral interview. This was to assess how well I fit with VMware’s culture and values. They asked about how I work in teams, handle conflict, and manage projects. It was more about understanding my soft skills and how I would fit in with the team. Managerial Round: There was also a round with the hiring manager, which was more of a high-level discussion. They asked about my career goals, what I’m looking for in my next role, and how I see myself growing at VMware. HR Interview: Finally, I had a discussion with HR. This was to go over the compensation package, benefits, and any other logistical details. They also reiterated the company’s values and made sure I was aligned with what VMware stands for. Throughout the process, they were very professional and clear about what to expect next, which made the experience quite smooth.
