I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bulb (London, England) in Apr 2021
Interview
1. With the head of recruiting. They didn't seem very engaged but I moved on
2. Takeaway exercise: straightforward but interesting, with some ambiguities on the output format. Automated testing is used for the score. TypeScript function to calculate bill estimates. 3-4 hours
3. Technical mastery: white-board exercise for designing a referral bonus system. Well built
4. Planning and Delivery: talk about past experiences. Box-ticking exercise rather than open discussion.
5. Talk with the CTO: it's not a chat but similar to the Planning and Delivery interview. Made assumptions about my interests without asking and I got a "no" because of it.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bulb (London, England) in Oct 2019
Interview
Online application, then an initial phone call, followed by a take home test, and 2 on site interviews (one technical, one personal). Also had extensive chances to ask questions of current engineers.
