I showed up for interview twice and the manager was not there both times. It was very unprofessional and disrespectful for my time. They insist that they are hiring (and they always are!) but don’t want to take the time to actually make sure someone is present for an interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
When can you reschedule (whoops actually I had to ask that, too!)
I applied online. I interviewed at Burlington Coat Factory (New York, NY) in Oct 2024
Interview
I was interviewing for a seasonal position, so less formal than might be for a regular or full-time role.
Asked me the "tell me about yourself", about previous retail experience, and my availability.
I applied online. I interviewed at Burlington Coat Factory in July 2025
Interview
To apply you have to talk to an AI bot. It asks your availability and such and if the pay rate is okay. Once you get past that you're given a couple dates for a Group Interview. Once you select that you go to you're interview
But they dont have an actual application with you're information on it, past work history or anything because the AI chat box doesn't give you an actual application to fill out or even ask that. You are able to upload a resume into the chat through the photo icon next to the minimize chat symbol though which I thought was strange as well.
So in the interview if they like you they write your name and number down on a sticky note and say so and so will call.
Unfortunately since they don't have your information in an actual file... You get lost in the sticky notes so you really got a stay on top of them... Strange experience when they're in dire need
