I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CIBC (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2015

Interview was quick. Manager was smart enough to see value in me. I was given an excellent feedback and given an offer with a day or two. There were not many technical questions; just some basic questions about my experience. I sold myself as being relevant for the position as I had worked in banking before.
The CIBC Business System Analyst interview is a concise 15-20 minute session that begins with administrative checks regarding workplace accommodations, legal work eligibility in Canada, and consent for background verifications. The core of the interview consists of six long-answer questions focusing on interest in the role, past work and educational experience, complex problem-solving, process improvements, time management, and methods for ensuring work accuracy. The process concludes with a candidate Q&A, with next steps regarding a second-round interview typically shared within one week.
