Started out as a great experience. Email followed by initial phone screen followed by invitation for second round interview in person. In-person interview took about an hour. Everyone was very friendly; interviewed with department head and two others from the division. Asked about next steps at the end and was told they planned to hire quickly. Felt positive because up until that point communication had been reliable and quick. Sent requisite “thank you” follow up afterwards. Then - nothing. No rejection, just totally ghosted. Felt that was particularly disrespectful after having gone for an in-person interview in the midst of a pandemic. Disappointing they treat people this way - at least give people the courtesy of an answer, even if it’s a negative one.
