Didn’t ask generic questions. Asked knowledge-based questions. Years of experience in the industry and food/LBW questions. Manager clearly had been in the industry for quite some time. They were respectful, asked if I had serve safe knowledge, health department knowledge, and tips certification.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Cafe Deluxe (Washington, DC) in June 2016
Interview
You can apply from within the restaurant. Sign an application form then you meet with three managers. Took about 1 week to get hired. First I was interviewed by the front of the house manager, then the food and beverage manager and lastly the general manager who made the final decision to hire me. Overall good interview, just frustrating with the waiting time.
