I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Canonical (New York, NY) in Jan 2024
Interview
I have extensive experience in recruitment and HR, and this company has it all wrong. There are endless case studies, thought leadership pieces, masterclasses etc. basically telling employers to do the exact opposite of what Canonical is doing. Judging by these reviews and the amount of engagement on the reviews of others agreeing, I find it very interesting that they do not even attempt to improve the candidate experience.
Do not waste your time entering into a recruitment process that is completely OVER processed.

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Canonical in June 2022
Interview
Canonical was by far the worst interview process I've experienced in my 20 years of career. It is, opaque, and time-consuming. Be ready to commit at least 60 hours until you get to talk to a decision-maker. Choose wisely to proceed or drop from the selection process early on to not waste your time.
