I was contacted by the hiring manager via mail, he never contacted me via phone. I had to fill in a lengthy questionaire and write about myself. Subsequently three interviews were set up. It was with an engineer, a (senior) director and a VP. The interviews were good, tons of good questions were asked by each of the interviewers. Obviously the last one was the thoughest. But at the end of each interview the interviewers hinted positive feedback. The VP at the end even wanted to invite me to the upcoming 'sprint' meeting. With that in mind I was shocked to shortly after to receive a negative answer without further explanation from the hiring manager.
This company seems to work in one direction only. With all the effort I put into this, I would have liked to receive feedback. Canonical however states that they are too busy with applications to give feedback.
With this knowledge, I would not apply at this company again, a company that is already at the start not honest and open will never be at a later point.
