I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Capco (London, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
I applied for the role in Sept 2017, decision was reached 5 months later end of Jan 2018, which is far too long for a real live role. The case study was not generic and against their own policy, Instead it was very specific and technical in the area I was applying for, which was different to what I was informed beforehand. However the feedback why I didn't get the role was very generic, which made me suspicious.
The recruitment process was unfair because for technical briefs, candidate should be given opportunities to prepare yet I was clearly infomred via email the case study would be generic. I am confident Capco was just browsing for candidates in case they signed more contracts or simply interviewing for bench marking their resources and did not have a live role, otherwise the process would not take 5 months.
Number of their consultants were leaving the business at that time too.

They asked me to work on a very technical business case for the area I was applying for
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capco (London, England) in Apr 2026
Interview
I applied online and one of the recruiters at Capco reached out to get some basic information regarding RTW and salary expectations. Then he sent an email to schedule an initial screening call. Once that was done, I progressed to the next stage which was a virtual interview with a Principal Consultant, exploring my prior experience and motivations. That went very well and I received an email within a couple of hours after the interview to schedule the next stage which was a virtual case study interview. This was with a Managing Principal, a client scenario was presented and the objective is to create a few slides regarding the scenario and how you would approach it then present back to the interviewer. The interviewer will ask you questions about your approach/solution presented. It took around a week for the recruiter to get back to me and say I had progressed to the final stage which is an in person meeting with the Partner. This was more of a conversation regarding my background and how I would fit within the team. That also went quite well, it was more of a conversation than a formal interview and I received a call from the recruiter later that day that the Partner wants to proceed with an offer.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Capco (Hong Kong)

Interview
Email link to provide times of availability for initial discussion. Completed this and time agreed, however recruitment colleague never called and never emailed. Disappointing to take 30 minutes out of my day for absolutely no contact or explanation over the following week.
