      Architect- Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Capco (Remote, OR)

      Interview

Let me start with a premise of CAPCO. The “coolness” of their culture and hiring process they promote on the website is just a front on paper.so prepared to be disappointed. I feel I need to have this written up so company (ies) take notes and better their process for others in the future. If they are TRYING to compete with big 3 consulting firms in the market, they are coming up short in a big way on ethical and professional grounds. I would NOT recommend them, and in the future, I would tell my customers, business development team and vendor management team to steer away from their services all together. BE READY TO HAVE YOUR TIME AND YOUR ENERGY WASTED Here is my experience: I was contacted after applying for a position that matched my background and interest. it took them 3 weeks to schedule 1st interview after talking to HR Rep. HR explained the process, which is pretty standard for senior level architect/consultant (after 2nd interview, it would be face to face). 2nd interview was scheduled after 4-5 weeks following 1st interview. both interviewees raved at the end of the call and how much experience I bring in to the position and may be a good fit for even better position with more seniority. with that, I was told that they are just looking for schedule to sync up for 3rd interview At this point, HR went dark, complete dark. Given my conversations, I was the one reaching out to them. No professionalism from the company and the time that had been allotted. so I thought, maybe they are prioritizing other hires at the beginning of the year and taking time to get their process in place before they contact me. 4th week after the 2nd interview, they were still give me a typical line of "syncing up schedule". This background was necessary to showcase so many holes in this process. Mind you, I have been on the side of hiring process. First of all, so much time had lapsed between each interview. I just wonder how much each person communicated to management and how effectively they capture this information. Second of all, job description was a complete farce. Given the interview timing and such a great hiring process (pfft), I became skeptical that they were just wasting time and only interviewing for sheer formality. Maybe few management people got together for a drink and they thought this would be a good idea on a bar napkin to have someone of this caliber on team. Also, no communication, sharing feedback and consistency between 1st and 2nd interviewees. Third, HR representation was great but ultimately, I got the feeling they were in just as much dark as I probably was.
