I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Century Communities (Charlotte, NC) in July 2017
Interview
The typical tell me about a time when you had a difficult situation and what did you do. That type of stuff and I went with a uneasy feeling after talking to the recruiter. They told me I didn’t really fit their mold as far as what they normally look for. They told me I had all of the experience and credentials to do the job they were hiring for but it would be a toss up as to whether or not I got the job. I should have ran like my hair was on fire then but I decided to go and see how things went. After talking with the gentlemen doing the interview and him making references to the amount of experience I had and the opportunities I would be getting going to work for them and leaving another builder. I went against my gut and I took the job but being a man of my word I usually take people at theirs. Unfortunately Century uses this as a way to get you in the door and then they don’t seem to remember anything about that conversation. Get everything in writing don’t get taken advantage of like I did.
