I applied online. I interviewed at China Alpha (Hong Kong) in July 2022
Interview
1st round: resume screening
2nd round: interview with 2 PMs. They asked about my background and made me do a stock pitch. after the 2nd round, they asked me to do a case study on a market they weren't familiar with (was given about a week).
3rd round: presented the case study in front of the 2 PMs and the founder
4th round: interview with the founder.
I was told in the beginning that the final round interview is to align the career trajectory with the candidate and the company. After the final round, the HR got back to me saying that my skillset did not match with position, which was not consistent with what I was explained. I feel like they used my analysis to generate financial value for them. so basically free labor. this may be something to do with cultural difference. I asked for further FB, but no response from the HR.
Quite a technique. You are asked about the research process. Your view of investment strategy in stock etc. What industry were following in your previous internship. What do you think of the CFA test? Is is useful?
